hedgerow (Geography Dictionary)

hedgerow: Also simply called a hedge.

A line of closely spaced shrubs or trees, planted and trained so as to form a barrier, to mark the boundary between two neighboring areas, or to serve as a windbreak for crops in adjacent fields.
