South Geographic Pole (Geography Dictionary)

South Geographic Pole : Also called the Geographic South Pole, Geographic South, or simply the South Pole.

The point in the Southern Hemisphere where the Earth’s axis of rotation meets its surface. It is the southernmost point on Earth, directly opposite the North Geographic Pole, and is located on continental land in Antarctica at a latitude of 90 degrees South; its longitude can be assigned any degree value.
